Performance tuning in OS / VS 2 MVS

چکیده
coarse tuning of an MVS system by analyzing it into its software and hardware components and increasing their eficiency successively. The method involves adjustments to swapping, the inputoutput load, the CPU load, main storage, and the system resources manager. Also discussed are performance measures necessary to characterize a system, tools to tune a system, and various aspects of data gathering and the eflects of adjustments on system parameters. Two illustrative case histories are also given.
